Evening Grosbeak
The Evening Grosbeak is identified as a stocky bird with a large, greenish-yellow, conical bill. The males have yellow foreheads, eyebrows, lower back, rump and belly. The females are much grayer. The Evening Grosbeak was originally a Western species and can now be found throughout the West and North and into the Northeastern United States and much of Canada. Evening Grosbeaks come to feeders looking for Black Oil Sunflower, Striped Sunflower, Sunflower Hearts, Safflower and Cracked Corn.
